Music Remover — Video & Voice
Getting Started
How do I remove the music from a recording?
Import an audio file (from Files / iCloud Drive) or pick a video clip (from Photos). Choose a mode — Remove Music or Karaoke — and the App separates the voice from the music in the cloud. When it finishes, the result screen lets you A/B compare before you save or share.
What's the difference between Remove Music and Karaoke?
They are the two directions of the same split. Remove Music keeps the voice and drops the background music — good for interviews, podcasts, and voiceovers. Karaoke keeps the music and drops the vocals — an instrumental or backing track to sing over.
I picked the wrong mode. Do I have to start over?
No. On the result screen, one tap flips the same file to the opposite mode, or re-runs it in HD for a cleaner separation.
How does the A/B compare work?
The result screen has an A/B player. Toggle between Original and Cleaned to hear exactly what changed before you decide to save. Your past jobs stay in the History tab.
Audio & Video
Does it work on video files?
Yes. Pick a video clip and the App extracts the audio, separates it, then remuxes the chosen stem back into your original video. The video stream itself is not re-encoded — the picture is preserved. Video processing is a Premium feature.
What formats are supported?
You can import common audio files (such as M4A, MP3, WAV, AIFF) and standard MP4 / MOV video. Free previews export as MP3; Premium adds lossless WAV / FLAC export.
Does it remove background noise, hiss, wind, or echo?
No. Music Remover separates music from voice — that is source separation, not noise reduction. It is not a denoiser, de-hisser, or de-reverb tool and won't strip those from a recording.
Does it make AI covers or clone voices?
No. It splits an existing recording into its voice and music stems. It does not generate AI cover songs and does not clone, synthesize, or imitate anyone's voice.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. Separation runs on secure cloud infrastructure, so you need a connection to process a file. Your upload and the result are automatically deleted within 24 hours and are never used to train any model.
Free vs Premium
What's free vs Premium?
Free: 2 free previews, up to 60 seconds each, exported as MP3, with no ads. Premium: a high monthly removal allowance with full track length (no 60-second cap), video support, HD separation, lossless WAV / FLAC with no watermark, and full processing history.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — the Premium Annual plan ($39.99/year) includes a 7-day free trial. You'll only be charged at the end of the trial. Cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings before the trial ends.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings inside the App and tap "Restore Purchases". This re-applies your active subscription if you've previously purchased one on this Apple ID.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Music Remover and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Privacy
Where does my audio go?
Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection so our AI can separate it, then returned to you. Both the upload and the result are automatically deleted within 24 hours, and we never train on your content. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
What permissions does the app need?
Photo Library read-only (only for the video clip you pick), Files access (only for the audio file you pick), and Notifications (optional, to tell you when a job finishes). The App does not use your microphone.
